So, today, after MUCH waiting, the Moksha Yoga studio in St. John’s finally opened! It’s an absolutely beautiful venue, but man, the place was packed. Methinks it might have something to do with the fact that the first week is free…
Holy %&^$. The sweat. The heat. The first few minutes I was in the room, even just in savasana, were overwhelming. So flipping hot! You should’ve seen me once we got going. In tree pose, you could basically hear slurping when I touched my foot to my calf, my leg was that sweaty. Sweat was dripping in my eyes, in my mouth, all over the place.
But man! Did I ever love it! It felt so good to sweat like that, even though I definitely sweat more than most of the girls there. But whatever! Detox! I’m pretty sure I depleted my sodium stores, haha. I hadn’t done yoga in over a week, and I was really missing it. Even after just that one session, I feel so much better and stronger and ready for this race on Sunday. Yoga again tomorrow will only help!
My knee bothers me in sleeping hero, and I talked to the teacher about it and she gave me some tips and also reassured me that it just needed time. All hope is not lost for me and sleeping hero!
I’m sad I can’t fully take advantage of the free week, but I guess I can’t really complain, since in two days I’ll be in FLORIDA!! Wearing my Birkenstocks!! Excitement does not fully describe me right now.
